Here is a little info about me...
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialization. I am also a Certified Academic Language Therapist and have a Master Reading Teacher Certification. I began my career in education in 1990 and have taught students in grades 1-6. I have worked in both the regular classroom settings as well as in RTI and Dyslexia. I love teaching and find it so rewarding to see my students grow as readers!
My husband, Rick and I have two amazing daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. We lived in Paradise for fourteen years until a few years ago when we decided to move a little closer to the lake. I now live just a short stroll from Eagle Mountain Lake. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, traveling, and reading, of course!
This is my twelfth year to teach at Paradise, and I am truly proud to be a Paradise Panther!! I know that this will be another great year in Paradise!
Children are like wet cement, whatever falls on them makes an impression.
